Leah was a great prophetess. She was supposed to marry Esau the brother of Jacob, but Leah “knew” she was destined to marry Jacob to give birth to six of the twelve tribes of Israel. She used her powers and “stormed the gates of heaven” (where she is standing in the painting) to change her fate.
